Cory Brown has over 25 years of defense acquisition experience in leadership and acquisition management with the US Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Energy (DOE), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and Allied Services for multibillion dollar defense acquisition programs. He possesses diverse experience in weapons system development, testing, procurement, sustainment planning, supply chain management, strategic planning, and team leadership and has a proven program execution track record within multiple enterprises including tactical and strategic aircraft, nuclear weapons, mobility, and command and control (C2) platforms in global and multi-national environments. Cory is adept at requirements management with Allied partners, Major Commands (MAJCOMs), and Combatant Commands (COCOM) and has a demonstrated mastery of defending budgets within the DOD and with Congress.
Significant Career Accomplishments
As System Program Director of the B-2 division, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Bombers Directorate (AFLCMC/WB), orchestrated and directed over 850 cross-functional personnel at four geographically dispersed sites, driving successful delivery of cutting-edge software and hardware capabilities with a $3.2B portfolio budget, demonstrating expert proficiency in budget management and financial oversight.
Spearheaded a six-member team to provide specialized assessments to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) and composed a strategic report for CJCS congressional testimony regarding a $705B budget.
Led Joint Staff analysis to evaluate and align defense investments with national strategy.
Played a pivotal role as a founding member of the force integration team tasked with testing and demonstrating new technologies during joint exercises— formulated a comprehensive joint force investment strategy and conducted risk analysis for the President’s budget in 2019.
As a Senior Program Manager in the Global Strike Command, led a 42-person cross-functional team on the $2.1B Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Reentry Systems program.
