Profile
Dr. Mark Caudle is a seasoned researcher and educator with 35 years of experience in project, acquisition and life cycle logistics management acquired through a unique combination of both practical experience in major weapon system acquisition programs, graduate education in systems management and business logistics, and teaching multiple courses related to business and project management at both the graduate and professional continuing education levels. He served on the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) School of Systems and Logistics faculty developing and delivering, via both live classroom instruction and distance learning methods, professional continuing education courses to acquisition professionals and others. Dr. Caudle also led the creation and/or modification of several courses, including two courses using agile methodologies: an asynchronous, distance learning course on Air Force Should Cost management, and a synchronous, in-person course on industry-standard project management.
Significant Career Accomplishments
Served on the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) School of Systems and Logistics faculty developing and delivering, via both live classroom instruction and distance learning methods, professional continuing education courses to acquisition professionals and others.
Led the creation and/or modification of several courses, including two courses using agile methodologies: an asynchronous, distance learning course on Air Force Should Cost management, and a synchronous, in-person course on industry-standard project management.
Former AFIT Faculty Council Vice President and Secretary and Chair of the Faculty Development and Curriculum Standards Committees; served as course director and/or instructor for the Industry Standard Project Management, Intermediate Project Management Skills, Fundamentals of Project Management (online), Air Force Fundamentals of Acquisition Management, and the Academic Instructor courses.
Directed the AFIT Graduate Acquisition Management Program and served as course director for a range of 300 and 600-level program/project management, acquisition strategy, financial management and accounting related courses.
Led Yokota’s 24-hour, 31-person command center for aircraft operations, base-wide notifications, and up-channel reporting. Bilaterally responsible to the five AF/CC and the 374 AW/CC for execution of Emergency Action messages from US Pacific Command (PACOM), Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), and US Forces, Japan (USFJ).
