Mr. Pat Price has over 35 years of experience as a US Air Force (USAF) electrical engineer with a strong background in both weapon system acquisitions at the Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC)—now part of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC)—as well as research at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). He possesses strong leadership skills and a broad array of technical skills to include systems engineering, engineering management, technical leadership, flight simulation, avionics systems, system integration, research and development (R&D), test and evaluation (T&E), production, source selection, product improvement, and manufacturing technology and is known for strong systems thinking.
Significant Career Accomplishments
Responsible for all AFSO21 activities for the AFRL Air Vehicles Directorate, including organizing and facilitating rapid improvement events, facilitating and monitoring strategic alignment and deployment activities, and mentoring prospective AFSO21 Green Belts.
Assisted with the establishment of a combined helpdesk function for the USAF’s major shared resource centers and an automated self-inspection program.
Acted as the focal point for the planning and management of projects funded by outside sources that support the manufacturing technology mission, such as the $80M Affordable Multi Missile Manufacturing program funded by the Defense Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
Coordinated joint and complementary efforts with other agencies, including the Department of Defense (DOD), the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST), and the Department of Energy (DOE) to obtain maximum leverage for the USAF.
