We are pleased to announce that Mr. Jorge Gonzalez, SES, DAF (Ret), has joined Dayton Aerospace as a senior associate. He recently retired from the USAF as the director of engineering, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Engineering Directorate (AFLCMC/EN-EZ), where he was responsible for providing qualified engineering and technical management resources (organize, train, and equip responsibilities) to all AFLCMC program executive officer (PEO) programs. Dual-hatted, Mr. Gonzalez also held the role of USAF Technical Airworthiness Authority (TAA) with responsibility for aircraft flight authorizations for the USAF’s 5,400+ aircraft fleet, certifying all aircraft as safe-to-fly.

Over his 35-year civilian career, he gained critical engineering leadership experience on most major weapon systems in the current USAF inventory and made major contributions to a diverse array of programs including: F-16 multi-role fighter and its variants, B-1B, F-15, F-100 and F-110 engines, B-2, C-17, Predator A and B, C-130, C-5 and F-22 Raptor. He is a recognized subject matter expert in all aspects of aircraft design, development, certification and sustainment, with specialized expertise in aircraft structural integrity and airworthiness.

As a senior associate, Mr. Gonzalez is available to provide senior-level support to government and industry clients in a variety of technical tasks, such as systems engineering, airworthiness certification, independent technical reviews and technology transition.
