Join us in welcoming Mr. Kevin Buckley, former PEO, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Mobility Directorate (AFLCMC/WL), to Dayton Aerospace as a senior associate. “Buck” brings over 35 years of US Air Force (USAF) and US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) acquisition experience. As PEO, he was responsible for program execution, executive management and supervision of over 200 acquisition category (ACAT) I, II, and III programs in the mobility aircraft portfolio to include the C-5, C-17, C-130J, C-130H, mature and proven aircraft, very important person and special duty aircraft, training aircraft, and the Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) system and also oversaw execution of over $13B in foreign military sales (FMS) efforts.
Prior to joining the Senior Executive Service (SES), he retired as a USAF Colonel with significant program management experience. Previous assignments include program director for three ACAT I programs—C-130 Avionics Modernization Program (AMP), C-130J, and C-27—where he had direct responsibility for strategy development and execution to meet cost, schedule and performance goals.
He is available immediately to assist government and industry customers in a wide range of range of support activities including business strategy development and capture planning, proposal preparation and evaluation, program start up and execution, and executive independent review teams (EIRTs).
