Dayton Aerospace was competitively awarded a 5-year contract with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) to develop and deliver extensive program management (PM) training for Air Force acquisition program managers.
The contract includes curriculum development, updates and instruction of the Senior Leader Component of AFLCMC’s PM Academy and a new Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) PM Application Course. These courses are complimentary and will support the new Department of Defense (DoD) program management certification standards.
PM Academy is targeted to accelerate acquisition knowledge for junior PMs, while the PM Application Course is targeted for mid-career professionals (GS-13/NH-03/O-4 PMs). PM Application Course students will employ project management skills to analyze and war game real-world case studies in order to hone critical thinking and problem solving expertise in a variety of acquisition scenarios.
The Dayton Aerospace team is pleased to play a key role in training future Air Force program management leaders.
